Democratic Russia Advocacy: Delegates Engage in Dialogue on Capitol Hill
On March 11-12th, the delegates of our organization took part in the Democratic Russia Days on the Hill organized by RADR (Russian America for Democracy in Russia) @democracy4russia
Our agenda included:
1) Creating and introducing a resolution to refuse recognition of Vladimir Putin as a legitimate president of Russia;
2) Democratic Russia Caucus;
3) Help with the release of political prisoners in Russia, including foreign nationals and U.S. citizens;
4) Support for Ukraine;
5) Expanding sanctions against Russian government officials and companies
Engagement with Congressman Joe Neguse's Constituent Advocate: Advocating for Democracy in Russia and Supporting Ukraine
On September 6, 2023, the delegates from our organization have met with the constituent advocate for Colorado’s Congressman Joe Neguse @joeneguse who represents District 2. We wanted to let them know about our movement of pro-democratic Russian Americans here in Colorado. We also expressed our full support for Ukraine and talked about bills and resolutions that we would like our congressman to vote Yes on.
